Sugar Kelp

Sugar kelp carries the essence of the ocean in every frond. This nutrient-rich seaweed is appreciated for its subtly sweet flavor and delicate texture, making it a versatile ingredient that can be enjoyed on its own or as a flavorful addition to various dishes. Hand harvested at the peak of its vitality, sugar kelp is carefully gathered from pristine coastal waters, where it thrives in the embrace of the tides.

Art of Harvesting Kelp

Harvesting sugar kelp is a careful practice that aligns with the ocean’s natural rhythms, carried out with a profound respect for the tides and the marine life they support. At first light, foragers make their way to the shoreline, precisely timing their harvests to coincide with the ebbing tide. Each strand of sugar kelp is meticulously hand cut, allowing the plant to regenerate and continue its vital role within the marine ecosystem.
